Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your TarotVibe account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what (if anything) we keep and for how long.

No account? If you have never signed in, TarotVibe stores all of your readings, journal notes, and preferences on your device only. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage from Android Settings, permanently removes this data — there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

The fastest way to remove your account and cloud-stored data:

Open TarotVibe on your Android device.
Go to the Profile tab.
Find the Account card that shows your signed-in email address.
Tap anywhere on the Account card, not the Sign out button.
Tap Delete account in the confirmation dialog.

Your account, active sessions, cloud-stored readings, journal notes, onboarding data, and related server-side analysis records are permanently deleted immediately. The on-device copy is removed when you uninstall or clear app storage.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email us from the address associated with your TarotVibe account:

Body: Include the email address of the account you want deleted and confirm the request. For example: “Please delete my TarotVibe account and all associated data.”

We will verify the request comes from the account’s registered email address, then complete deletion within 30 days. We will reply once it is done.

What gets deleted

What we keep, and why

For security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, we may retain a limited amount of information after account deletion:

Server logs — truncated IP, timestamp, and request metadata: kept up to 30 days.
Encrypted backups — copies in our backup system are purged within 30 days of deletion.
Transactional records — purchase receipts and tax records (where required by law): kept for the period required by applicable financial regulations.
Abuse / safety records — if your account was terminated for violating our terms, we may retain a minimal record (hashed identifier and reason) to prevent re-abuse.

In-app purchases

Active subscriptions are managed by Google Play and are not automatically canceled when you delete your account. To cancel a subscription, open the Google Play Store app on the device where you subscribed, go to Subscriptions, select TarotVibe, and tap Cancel subscription. Refund requests are also handled by Google Play.
